Cussons can supply equipment to drill the holes in the stern tube at the time of manufacture. This equipment consists of high power drills fitted with long drill rods to allow the boring of the hole in the model. An electric hand-drilling machine drives the drilling rod and that is supported on a slide which is arranged at a guide way. At the end of the guide way the drilling rod is supported by a bushing. The guide way for the drilling machine is attached to a vertical slide so that the position in height of the drilling rod can be adjusted. Furthermore the inclination of the guide way with the drilling rod can be adjusted at the vertical slide.
